CONNECTICUT JUDICIAL BRANCH COURT CLOSING PROCEDURES
The Connecticut Judicial Branch issued the following statement on March 18, 2020:
"The Judicial Branch is balancing its constitutional obligation to remain open with protecting the health and safety of every individual who enters a state courthouse by going to a reduced workforce effective Thursday in an effort to halt the spread of COVID-19.
One building in each of the 13 JDs will be open to handle Priority 1 functions. Juvenile Matters will be heard in the Hartford and Bridgeport juvenile courthouses.
The Branch’s Executive Directors will reach out to their employees to determine who will staff these locations. Staff will also conduct all vital functions such as payroll, IT and human resources.
All other staff will be asked to work from home to the extent possible.
